2016 FINAL WRITTEN EXAMINATION RESULTS

November 9, 2016

Hello fellow Umpires:

I take pleasure in announcing the WICUA Final Written Exam results of 2016. I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate all successful candidates. As far as I can remember, this seems to be the first time that there has been a record 100% passes in the written exam. It is therefore quite an achievement by the WICUA to have this fantastic result.

On behalf of the WICUA, I would like to thank all the trainers who put out tremendous effort in preparing these candidates to achieve this feat.

To:       Mr. Vivian Johnson

Secretary WICUA

From:   Mr. Clyde Cumberbatch

            Chairman, Training & Examination Committee

Subject: 2016 Final Written Examination Results

The 2016 WICUA Final Written Examination candidates were all successful at attaining 70% and more.  I extend congratulations to each of the Forty (40) candidates who wrote this year examinations and have found the light at the end of tunnel.

There was a tie for the highest mark of 91%: Roger Pittiman - Canada and Imran Khan - United States of America while the next highest mark of 89% was achieved by Vicki Laura Daniel of Trinidad & Tobago.

Each of you demonstrated that hard work and perseverance pays off. It is indeed an occasion for each member Territory Training Committee to celebrate with their candidates for their tireless efforts and innovative methods of teaching the laws to our candidates.

Special thank you to my fellow WICUA lecturers for their yeoman service at ensuring the success of our future WICUA umpires.

Respectfully

Clyde Cumberbatch
